The Proposal
Christmas Day 2014 – Happy Valley, Caloundra
We spent Christmas Eve at Chris’s family holiday unit in Caloundra. On Christmas morning we opened presents with his family then walked down to the beach to give our presents to each other. We spend a lot of time at the unit and love the spot and outlook at Happy Valley, it’s our favourite spot.
We walked down onto the beach and picked a nice spot under the boardwalk to sit and exchange presents.
Chris has a love for Lego (and now Louise too over the years of our relationship)
Chris handed Louise her present to unwrap. She opened the paper to find Bride and Groom Lego minifigs. With excitement she looked up at Chris to find him on bended knee where he asked ‘will you marry me?’
Obviously Louise said ‘Yes!’
Chris had also secretly asked Louise’s parents’ permission in the weeks leading up to the engagement.
Suffice to say Louise felt somewhat inadequate with what she thought was an impressive gift for Chris, a new Ryobi drill.
