and when i get a job i will find
that all the visions in my mind will fade
replaced by shades of grey

i'll never get on top once again
surrounded by my semi-friends and those
acquaintances of pride
 
coffee breaks and rumours of
the latest to get pushed out of the nest
i'll never make my way
who got caught, the corporate tragedy
every Duncan sleeping at Macbeth's
i don't think i could stay
 
and if i do arrive home at night
with all my faculties uptight i know
i'll make you wear the blame

with everything i know at this time
and all the questions in my mind
i think i would be best off here at home
