The Captain's been protecting me from rain again
This happens every time that it rains
I hold him up above me like a shield of love
He covers me, there's no need to explain

And it's all I need or want
I need him or I don't
There's no in between I feel
That's the deal

They say that sunshine will return to where we live
I'll believe it when I see it once again
In the meantime when the clouds come by to rain on me
The Captain keeps me dry 'cos he's my friend

When I need him he's my man
